How are the predictions made and why do they sometimes change right up to the start of the game?
Our predictions are crafted by an advanced AI model that leverages extensive data to generate accurate forecasts for football matches. We take into account various key factors, including current form, home and away performances, as well as the offensive and defensive strengths of the teams. Numerous additional data points and statistics are also considered. We ensure the timeliness and reliability of our predictions through continuous learning and the integration of new data.
The changes in the predictions occur through regular recalculations that take place at specific intervals. The reason for these adjustments lies in constantly changing external factors such as fluctuations in form, injuries, and other dynamic elements. All adjustments to the forecasts exclusively happen before the game, up until the start of the match. After the kickoff, there are no further updates to the predictions. In other words, all predictions on Predicd reflect the knowledge available before the start of the game. These regular updates allow us to stay up-to-date and deliver predictions as accurate as possible, aligning with the current conditions.
What does the 'Safe'-indicator mean?
The 'Safe'-indicator offers a rough estimate of the reliability of the match outcome prediction. It is crucial to emphasize that this indicator assesses solely the general outcome (home win, draw, or away win). However, it does not provide a precise prediction of the likelihood of the exact score occurring, as this is considered an extremely uncertain factor.
What do the percentage values for 'Offense' and 'Defense' (displayed for each team in the match details) mean?
The percentage values for 'Offense' and 'Defense' indicate how strong or weak a team's offense or defense is compared to the rest of the league. A value of 50% corresponds precisely to the league average. If a team has a value of 0%, it means that it is only half as good or even weaker than the league average. On the other hand, a value of 100% indicates that the team is at least twice as strong as the league average.
It is important to emphasize that the ratings for offense and defense always refer to home or away games. This means that a team playing at home with an offense strength of 100% is twice as strong as the league average in offensive capabilities during home games. The values are exclusively related to home games (for the home team) or away games (for the away team).
Why are the 'Offense' and 'Defense' values not displayed for every match?
The 'Offense' and 'Defense' values are based on the teams' performances during the current season within the specific competition the match belongs to. Therefore, we need a certain number of completed games to generate meaningful calculations. These values are only shown once each team has played at least two matches.
Please note that these ratings reflect the home team's performance in home games and the away team's performance in away games. As a result, we require a minimum of two home games for the home team and two away games for the away team to calculate these values.
